WISH at UWMC supports a dynamic outreach program to middle and high school students, and to college students with an interest in the health sciences. Tours include an overview of the role of simulation in medical education, a walk-through of the WISH facility, and a hands-on experience with simulators. WISH's commitment to science education drives its involvement with youth and school programs. All tours are free of charge, and for scheduling inquiries, please contact Austin Shipman (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Additionally, WISH hosts interactive experiences in the simulation lab as part of Harborview Medical Center’s ongoing Community Internship Program (CIP). This program familiarizes community leaders from government, finance, industry, and non-profit organizations with the cutting-edge research, innovations and clinical care at Harborview Medical Center.
