LapSim

LapSim utilizes advanced 3D technology, including interactive live video, to provide the student with a realistic virtual working environment. Nevertheless, the interface is kept as simple as possible. Practice sessions can vary in graphic complexity as well as in the level of difficulty. Courses can easily be created or modified by the teacher to fit a student´s specific needs, or the requirements of a training curriculum. Course saving, import and export functions facilitates course sharing between educators and institutions. Certified laparoscopy training is just around the corner.

Human Patient Simulator / SimMan

These high fidelity simulators, Human Patient Simulator (METI) and SimMan (Laerdal) – computer-model-driven, full-sized mannequins – speak and breathe, have a heartbeat and a pulse, and accurately mirror human responses to such procedures as CPR, intravenous medication, intubation, ventilation, and catheterization.

 

Shoulder Arthroscopy Simulator (discontinued)

The arthroscopy trainer is geared towards surgical residents who wish to specialize in orthopedies, practising orthopedie surgeons who wish to adopt arthroscopie approaches to shoulder surgery. Surgeons are able to train to overcome orientation and instrument handling problems as well as hand-eye coordination difficulties.

Simuvision Lap Trainer

Real life laparoscopic trainer which uses a mounted camera and displays the suture field on a computer screen. This trainer allows the user to practice Laparoscopic skills with an added tactile sense, not available on the computer simulators.

Box Trainer

Mirror box trainers are designed to familiarize the user with basic laparoscopic instrument use. In the near future we will be receiving a number of more sophisticated trainers that accomplish the same task, but with video monitors rather than mirrors.

Stryker Training Tower

Similar to the mirror box trainers, the Stryker Training Tower is designed to familiarize the user with basic laparoscopic instrument use. However, this device uses the same sophisticated endoscopic equipment found in the operating room.
